Biblical Truths

In Ephesians 6:10-18 we are instructed to put on the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, shoes to stand firm, the shield of faith, the helmet of God’s saving power and the sword of the word of God.

Nowhere in that passage does it suggest that we put on any sort of armor to protect our backside as we turn and flee in fearful retreat.

Follow along as we make our way through scripture to identify those passages that demonstrate and direct us to not be afraid, to not worry or be anxious… to be strong & courageous… to have a worshipful fear and awe of God… to have faith and trust in God.

Psalm 031:19

How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world.

Psalm 31:19 (NLT)

Biblical Truth: Treasures are stored up in the coming world for those who trust God and rely on His grace. He protects those in this world who love Him as a testimony to those around them.

Psalm 031:03-05

Psalm 31:3-5 (GNT)

Biblical Truth: Fear is a trap that distracts us from the care of our souls. When we put our trust in the Lord instead of our own competence, and commit our spirits into His hands, our souls are redeemed and preserved for His kingdom. He is our protection.
